It is obvious to keep your heart in good condition all you need to do is exercise and take a good diet. But what else can possibly be contributing to a healthier heart?  Thus, below are some few things which you need to consider if you want to improve your heart’s health. 

  1. Eat Healthy Fat: You are already familiar to have a healthy diet in order to improve your heart’s health. But what kind of food you actually need to eat? Healthy heart generally needs fats in the diet which includes saturated, unsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. These fats may not increase the developing heart disease, but if you are having trans fat in your diet! You need to stop eating. Trans fat increases the risk of developing heart disease as it raises bad cholesterol levels which clogs the arteries.
  2. Keeping Up Your Dental Hygiene: Keeping a good dental hygiene often leads to a healthy heart. Studies have shown that people having gum disease have the same risk of developing heart diseases. It has shown that the bacteria which are involved in the development of gum disease can easily be transmitted to the bloodstream that can raise the level of C-reactive protein. Once the elevation is increased, it further increases the risk of developing stroke or heart disease. In order to avoid this issue, you need to start flossing your teeth and brush them twice a day to ward off gum disease.
  3. Sleep Plenty: Sleep plays an essential role in keeping your hearts shape in good condition. If you don’t sleep enough you might develop a high risk of cardiovascular disease. Studies have shown that people who often sleep less than six hours per night are more likely to have a stroke or heart disease. It has been believed that sleeping fewer cause disruptions in the underlying biological process such as blood pressure. Sleeping for 7-8 hours is mandatory to decrease the risk of getting heart disease. It helps in increasing the blood flow that can keep your heart healthy.
  4. Don’t Sit for a Longer Period: Studies have shown that people who often sit for a longer period of time effects the health no matter how much you exercise yourself. Researchers have shown that over 137 percent is increased in the cardiovascular system and the risk of having a blood clot is increased to 90 percent. It is recommended to move throughout your day, for employees who need to sit in a once place should park their vehicle further and take a few walks.
  5. Avoid Smoking And Drinking: Too much consumption of alcohol and smoking might lead your health to a risk. Studies have shown that consuming these in an excessive manner increases the risk of getting heart diseases up to 25-30 percent. Also, nonsmokers who have high blood cholesterol level and high blood pressure are at an even more risky place to develop heart disease if exposed to smoke. So it is recommended to avoid smoking and drink alcohol moderately to keep up your heart health.
